A Senior UI/UX Designer in Beirut, at Poyesis since 2024. I came to design from a medical lab and kept its habits: understand the problem first, make every decision on purpose, and test it with the people who’ll use it. Figma, prototyping, usability testing and design systems are where I live.

How I got here

  1. Before design

    2018 — 2022

    The lab

    • It started in a lab coat: a bachelor's in Biomedical Science at the Lebanese International University.
    • An internship at Clemenceau Medical Center: patients, samples, and no room for a careless detail.
    • Precision turned out to be a design skill.
  2. Learning the craft

    July — August 2023

    SE Factory

    • Certified UI/UX designer from SE Factory, Beirut's best-known tech bootcamp.
    • Six weeks of lectures, workshops and projects: design tools, accessible and inclusive design, UX audits, prototyping, no-code web.
    • TicketEasy, an event and movie ticket app
    • TicketEasy took one problem all the way, from research and personas to the visual design.
  3. First clients

    September 2023 — May 2024

    Freelance, then maxiphy

    • Websites for Higher Take in Dubai: a podcast studio in October, a marketing and production agency in November.
    • PodBooker, a podcast studio booking website
    • Elevation, a marketing and production agency website
    • Proradius, a dashboard for internet providers, then a UI/UX internship at maxiphy in Beirut.
    • Across the three: 20% more leads, and booking in 30% fewer steps.

  4. Today

    May 2024 — now

    Senior UI/UX Designer at Poyesis

    • Interfaces for several software products, WCAG-compliant, with onboarding 20% faster for new users.
    • A design system of reusable components that cut design-to-development time by 30%.
    • AI-assisted design and usability testing: cycles 15–20% shorter, and task success up 25%.
